About the Role:
We're looking for a Controller for a US-based company. This person will manage a small team, work closely with leadership, and bring strong technical accounting experience. This role requires someone who is adaptable, hands-on, and comfortable operating in a role that is still being shaped.
You Will:
- Oversee accounting operations across multiple brands/entities
- Manage and support direct reports across AR and accounting
- Work closely with leadership on finance and accounting priorities
- Use ERP systems to manage and improve accounting workflows
- Support trade and trade spend accounting processes
- Manage high-volume credit card and transaction-heavy activity
- Bring AI tools into day-to-day work to help streamline processes
About You:
Your Background:
- Experience working inside a CPG company in a hands-on operating role (not consulting)
- Experience in consumer packaged goods, beauty, personal care, food, beverage, wellness, or another inventory-based consumer products business strongly preferred.
- Experience with trade tools such as Confido
- Experience with trade, trade spend, or related CPG finance concepts
- Experience with high-volume credit card activity and transaction-heavy environments
- Strong ERP experience; NetSuite is highly preferred
- US GAAP accounting experience
- Previous people management experience
- Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT in day-to-day work
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across distributed teams
- Self-motivated and able to work with limited structure
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving requirements
- Able to take initiative and adapt as the search and role evolve
Nice to Have:
- Public accounting background
- Experience overseeing teams across AR and accounting functions
- Experience with automation tools or working capital/AR solutions such as HighRadius or Crossmark
